Jabuka – the biggest Croatian offshore regatta
The biggest and most massive offshore regatta in Croatia – Jabuka - this year took place on 13th of November 2016 and it is her 13th edition. This year's regatta is greatly marked with the record number of boats – totally 104 boats participated in this year 's regatta. Jabuka is famous regatta that leads sailors to a 110 miles long round route Vodice – Jabuka – Vodice.The regatta is known for it's night start and the mystical island of Jabuka.
Regatta Jabuka is often characterized by exhausting and long sailing by day and night. The Adrenaline character of this race is always present due to period of the year when the regatta is held in November with its weather conditions, as well as the length of the race of 110 nautical miles. The result in this regatta for most participants is not important, because the sail around Jabuka as a participant of one of the most important regatta in the Adriatic is a sufficient reason for satisfaction. Every year before the start regatta a wellcome party with free food for all the participants and guests of the regatta is held in Vodice. The awards ceremony on the end of the regatta took place in famous hotel in Vodice – Hotel Punta.
